Recording available: Decommissioning of Fort Greely nuclear reactor

If you missed the talk at the Ƶ Nuclear Energy Working Group meeting in March, the recording is now available online.

The presentation, “Ƶ’s only nuclear reactor: The history and final decommissioning of Fort Greely’s SM-1A,” described the final phase of the dismantlement process of the only nuclear reactor ever deployed in Ƶ. The reactor was shut down in 1972.

ANEW, hosted by ACEP, brings together members of the public, researchers and industry stakeholders to investigate advanced nuclear reactor technologies and examine their potential roles, benefits, and challenges within the Ƶ energy landscape.
