Landscape Plants for ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ

The goal of the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Plants database is to provide information about trees, shrubs and vines known to be growing successfully in ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ landscapes. It is intended to help people choose the right plant for the right place and develop landscapes that fit into our native environs.

ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ is experiencing serious negative effects from non-native species introduced by accident or purposely planted that spread into surrounding environments. These invasive plants pose serious threats to ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ’s native plants and wildlife changing habitats as they spread. This database is an extensive revision of the 1996 ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Cooperative Extension publication Landscape Plants for ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ: A List of Trees, shrubs, vines and ground covers for ÃÛèÖÊÓƵn Landscapes and is a cooperative effort with the Community Forestry Program, ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Division of Forestry and the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

**As of January 2025, the information in this listing is under review to ensure accuracy with the most current research. If you have questions about invasive plants, please contact ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Cooperative Extension at 1-877-520-5211 or ces@alaska.edu.
