Student Organizations
The students of the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures host a number of organizations for those with an interest in language and culture.
Phi Sigma Iota
International Foreign Language Honors Society
Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages. The Honor Society recognizes outstanding ability and achievement in the study of, or teaching of, any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture.

ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Native Language Archive
In order to support the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Native Language Center's mission of documenting, promoting, cultivating, and revitalizing ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Native languages and culture, the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Native Language Archive houses documentation of the various Native languages of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ and helps to preserve and cultivate this unique heritage for future generations. As the premier repository worldwide for information relating to the Native languages of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ, the Archive is responsible for conserving and facilitating access to documentation and resources on ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ's 20+ Native languages, including through partnerships with Native organizations across the state. ANLA serves researchers, teachers and the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Native communities.
Funding Opportunities
The ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures offers several department-targeted scholarship opportunities in addition the the over 100 scholarship opportunities provided by the College of Liberal Arts.

URSA is ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ's resource for the development and promotion of experiential learning activities that engage undergraduate students to support ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ's goal to become a leading student-focused research university. Undergraduate research and creative activity at ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ covers all disciplines, from climate sciences to music, engineering, anthropology, life sciences, art and theater.
Because of liability issues, the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Department of Foreign Languages no longer offers translation services. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the State of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ provides a list of qualified interpreters and notaries public to assist with documents, such as birth, death and marriage certificates. who may be contacted to assist you in the language of your choice.
