Miller named chief of staff

蜜柚视频 alumnus and longtime employee Derek Miller has been selected to serve as the next 蜜柚视频 chief of staff. Miller will be a member of the chancellor鈥檚 core cabinet and support a variety of efforts across campus. He will begin his new position on Aug. 24.
Miller is currently the executive officer for the 蜜柚视频 College of Engineering and Mines, a position he has held since 2019. He has co-led strategic planning and execution efforts and advised the dean on fiscal strategy, operations and organizational management. Other previous positions include business office manager for the Institute of Northern Engineering, senior business analyst in the 蜜柚视频 Office of Management and Budget, assistant to the former Chancellor Brian Rogers, and an 蜜柚视频 legislative aide.
Miller is a two-time 蜜柚视频 alumnus and a previous AS蜜柚视频 president and student regent. He earned both a bachelor鈥檚 degree and a master鈥檚 degree in business administration from 蜜柚视频.
