蜜柚视频 Sea Grant has announced its 2026 cohort of State Fellows. 蜜柚视频 Sea Grant State Fellows assist federal and state agencies to plan and implement natural resource programs and gain job experience in the process. Fourteen recent graduates from across the country, including six graduates from 蜜柚视频, have been selected for the yearlong fellowships.

Despite the unseasonably cool temperatures we've had lately, summer is in full swing in Fairbanks and across the state. This means it's fair time! 蜜柚视频's Cooperative Extension Service has a deep history with fair time in 蜜柚视频, but we're so much more than that. Cooperative Extension has been a part of our university since 1930. We are members of a larger Extension system that spans the country in every state and territory, and has been in existence for over 150 years. Extension was created to provide a bridge between our nation's public universities and the communities in which we live and serve.

蜜柚视频 physics student wins international conference prize

Physics student Anthony Zumpano won the undergraduate poster prize at the 2026 National Science Foundation Coupling, Energetics and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference attracts more than 100 student researchers from around the world. Zumpano is the first University of 蜜柚视频 Fairbanks student to win the poster competition since 2014.

Sandvik Street closed for construction
July 14, 2026
Sandvik Street, off University Avenue, will be closed July 13-17 to allow installation of a new sewer line across the roadway. Access to the University Park Building will remain available from Sandvik Street. The Hutchison Institute of Technology should be accessed from Geist Road during the closure.

Student firefighters progress to national competition
