Does a project need IBC review?

The Institutional Biosafety Committee is responsible for biological safety review and approval of projects at ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. Projects requiring IBC review include those utilizing the following: recombinant DNA, synthetic nucleic acid molecules, infectious agents, biological toxins, federally-regulated select agents, and other potentially harmful biological agents.

Recent developments indicate a potential eruption, so faculty, staff, and students in or near potential ashfall zones must be prepared. Applications open: UA Teacher Internship Scholarship

The University of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ is providing scholarships to those interested in becoming certified teachers for ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. This is the third year of the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship, which covers tuition and fees at UA Schools of Education as well as a stipend of up to $10,000 to offset living expenses during the critical full-time internship. Apply by April 15, 2025.
