ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press was established in 2003. The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press is the publishing house of the Sydney College of Divinity and furthers our objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing a significant program of publications.

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press provides opportunities for Sydney College of Divinity faculty and research students, and interested academics from around the globe, to publish in a range of peer-reviewed publications. The journals and other publications are of the highest quality and cover a wide range of interest areas which reflect and build upon the ecumenical identity of the Sydney College of Divinity.

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press publishes the Journal of Gospels and Acts Research, a journal uniquely and entirely dedicated to the Gospels and the Book of Acts. ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press also publishes the Sydney Korean Theological College’s Journal of Theological Reflections which has peer-reviewed articles in Korean and English.

Since 2017 ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press also proudly publishes the important monograph series Early Christian Studies, previously published by the Australian Catholic ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ and St Pauls, Sydney. This prestigious series is now joined by three other series: the Learning and Teaching Theology series; the CGAR series; and an Occasional series.

Successful Sydney College of Divinity research theses are also considered for publication, as the Press seeks further opportunities to widen its horizons in the pursuit of excellence in theological education.

Editorial Board

The membership of the Editorial Board of ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press consists of:

The Board also engages expert readers for particular series and volumes, and others with particular skills to ensure the continued quality of ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press publications.

Submissions

When publishing with ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press you are joining some of the most well-respected and highly-regarded scholars, both nationally and internationally. We are committed to promoting a theologically literate membership of the Church and serving the needs of academics, students and the Christian community. With an emphasis on recent research, we publish works of the highest scholarly standard, works that will make a valuable and lasting contribution to the field in which they are published. Our publications are available through our online ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press Shop.

Who should submit

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press publishes peer-reviewed articles, work by academic authors and researchers, Sydney College of Divinity research student theses, and material in the disciplines of theology, Biblical studies, humanities in the Christian tradition and Christian life and ministry. If your work is in one of the areas that we publish, we would welcome the opportunity to look at your proposal.

How to submit

The first step towards publication is to submit a proposal. Format your submission in accordance with the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press style guide. You can email your proposal or an expression of interest to [email protected]

Style Guide

The ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press style guide describes how to prepare contributions for submission for possible publication through ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press. Authors are expected to submit their material in accordance with the house style otherwise they may be asked to resubmit before it is sent to the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press Editorial Board. Format your submission in accordance with the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press House Style instructions.

CGAR Series

The CGAR series publishes research on the Gospels and Acts arising from the activities of the Centre for Gospels and Acts Research.

Early Christian Studies Series

Early Christian Studies was previously published by the Australian Catholic ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ and St Pauls, Sydney. ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Press now publishes and manages the ongoing sales of this important monograph series.

Journal of Gospels and Acts Research Series

The Journal of Gospels and Acts Research is unique in its dedication to publishing peer reviewed research into the four Gospels and, the Book of Acts.

Journal of Theological Reflections Series

With both Korean and English articles, the Journal of Theological Reflections is the academic journal of the Sydney Korean Theological College.

Learning and Teaching Theology Series

The LATT series are publications from the ÃÛèÖÊÓƵ Learning and Teaching Theology biennial conference.

Occasional Series

A new series of publications launched by the Sydney College of Divinity in 2019.
